Progeco Next Group, through the company Progeco NeXT Mozambique, based in Maputo, expands its collaboration with ENI, winning an important contract for the supply of Project Management Service. The contract was awarded following an international tender held in 2020.

The contract is part of the ENI Rovuma Basin project which, thanks to the extraordinary gas discoveries that were made after an exploration campaign lasting only three years, provides for the production, liquefaction and marketing of natural gas from three fields of the Mamba complex located in the Area 4, offshore the Rovuma Basin, two of which straddle Area 1.

The project includes the construction of onshore plants and facilities that will allow, once the works are completed, the treatment of natural gas from Area 4.

This will help provide reliable and affordable energy for the Mozambican population and partners in the area and create long-term economic value in addition to the growth of the local workforce through targeted recruitment and skills development activities.

Progeco Next will support Eni with the provision of project management services including engineering, supervision, HSE, planning, cost control and others, in various locations in Mozambique. Progeco NeXT Group has already been collaborating with ENI for a long time through PMS contracts in the Upstream and Downstream sector – explains Massimo Bottoni,

Progeco NeXT COO – We are proud of this new collaboration that allows us to support a customer of this importance again, operating also in the Mozambican territory, thus continuing our path of global growth and confirming our role as strategic suppliers in the field of Project Management Service “.
